Ok, so I have been criticised for not updating the site enough. OK, I get it… So here are the trvial updates you never cared about before!
First the not-so-trivial stuff:
- We have a new engineer! So all those little annoyances are quickly disappearing! Go Kevo!
- We also have a new rockin’ news director (Annie), our lovely Promotions Director (Allison), Oscar is back always on the phone with “important people”, Antonio is rocking out the Business side of things with Damian going almost door to door to get some coin, the awesomely creative Odette is making Sweepers, Spots, etc. by the hour, and last but not least Naomi is making sure that we sail smoothly with all the funding and regulatory stuff that is best left far behind the headlines in the fine print for those who really want to know how much we have for office supplies from ASNMSU! In all seriousness, she is rocking out and making sure we all make KRUX better by the hour! Kudos to some staff members!
Now on to the rest of everything.com:
- The schedule is coming along nicely! Please check out the schedule page for updates, e-mail me if you don’t see your name on the schedule and I will try to remedy the problem ASAP!
- DJ Meetings! For those who missed ‘em, guess what there will be more! I expect all DJ’s to make an honest effort to show up!
- For those who worry about my health, well it is not that great… I am still sick… However, my finger is healing nicely!
- Vegetables! If you haven’t noticed being sick makes you wish you were healthy again. So stay healthy and eat an apple and some broccoli! (5 A Day!)

Yup, you heard it right. If you are a current DJ you will not be doing any shows until September 1st! This is to allow us to get a few things straightened out before this next semester. So relax a little, get school in order, take a walk, enroll in a two hour tai chi class, basically preoccupy yourself until Fall Programming officially starts September 1st!
For listeners this means that the request line (575.646.5667) won’t work until September 1st! However you will still enjoy music from out awesome computer until then!

Hey guys, I know it’s only August but the first day of school is fast approaching and might be here sooner then you think. KRUX will be hosting a Remote outside of the Corbett Center on August 17th to welcome the new school year as as well as all the folks living on campus.

On May 19th, 2008 I had the chance to check out Rilo Kiley at The Black Sheep in my summer home of Colorado Springs, CO.
We arrived to the show a little after doors opened only to see a sign that said No Cameras Allowed. Damn! We had just driven all the way back for it. It’s finally here!! Girl Talk’s brand new LP, the follow up to 2006’s Illegal Art release Night Ripper, Feed the Animals is finally released, but only online for now. The album is available through the Illegal Art website and is available for download ala Radiohead style, pay whatever you like.

While up in Colorado I have had the opportunity to attend many concerts featuring many artists that are played on our very own station! On Monday May 12th I was able to catch the Nylon Music tour featuring Switches, The Virgins, Be Your Own Pet and headliners of the tour She Wants Revenge at the Gothic Theater in Englewood, CO.
