Personally, I'll have to check my calendar, but I'm pretty sure that 2008 had 28 months in it. At least that's how it felt :) Right now, I want to look back at 2008 and feel blessed for having made it through -- these have been some of the toughest times any of us have lived through, and we're still standing.

2008 was a great year for the station, we added in a great new show: Metal Lessons Radio which has become quite the hit, and we continue to air the Old School Metal Show with Grinder which has made a miraculous run on the station bringing great NWOBHM. Our listeners and the Day crew are some of the best around. There's lots to be thankful for, that's for sure!

So as you and I say goodbye to 2008, I'll say thanks again for yet another great year and I'm glad we're greeting 2009 together. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Have a happy and healthy 2009 and keep it locked on HR80s.com!

MLR Year End Show Special Time!

Join the Metal Lessons Radio crew for a special year end show - they picked the top 20 albums for 2008. Join the online chat and comment on the show and the top 20 picks! It should make for lively debate/commentary and should turn some folks on to some new music!!

In addition to the normally scheduled times we'll be doing a Special airing:

- 6pm station time on Tuesday, December 30th
- 1pm station time on Wednesday, December 31st (All times Central US)...

Brief Radio Outage Planned Today!

We're planning a brief radio outage today to upgrade/install some hardware. I'm hopeful the outage won't be more than 30 minutes and is scheduled between the time of 12-1pm station time. We apologize for the inconvenience and we will do our best to have you back and rocking as fast as possible. The site's chat and forums should still be active, so feel free to join the crew in there while we're down...

Server Move (Again)!

We've moved the server to a new company again.

The move has propogated on all my computers, but it may be 24 hours or so for some folks (depends on yoru ISP's and how often they update their DNS). As of this point, it's a waiting game to see how the new server does.

I'm keeping the fingers crossed that this one will deliver on what they advertise and will finally be the stable site you deserve. I'm hopeful that things work out and I can begin adding new stuff instead of trying to fix stuff :)

That being said, I do NOT recommend every using startlogic for their 'VPS' service. I'll be nice and leave it at that...
