Remains Identified, Death Ruled A Homicide

The remains of a man found near Brooklyn late last moth have been identified as 28 year old Francis Ayles. Police have determined that the cause of death was homicide, and that Ayles was shot to death. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact police.

Fire Leaves Family Homeless

A family of four is homeless after a fire early yesterday morning destroyed a 100 year old house in Upper Island Cove. Fire investigators say the blaze started in the electrical panel that was in the crawl space of the home.
